Well, it’s that time of year again. There are many blogs and voices out there that take up the mantle of defenders of freedom. I myself, am one of them. I feel it is my duty to expose the radical push towards
socialism, stateism and every other ‘ism’ detrimental to the Constitution of the United States and her freedom loving people pushed upon us by the power hungry idiots that call themselves Representatives, Senators and even President. We have a government out of control and we will be lost if we don’t do something about it in the near future. These people refuse to listen to the people and will ram their radical agenda down our throats whether we want it or not. Every one of them should be hunted down and lined up against the wall for the atrocities that they are forcing upon us.
But, it is that time of year where I take a break ( For sanity’s sake ) from the lunacy in the Half White House and Congress and let the other ( and I’ll admit, better ) bloggers and writers continue in their pursuit of the truth and just enjoy what for me is the best time of year. You see, from Labor Day weekend until the first of the year I and my family take the season for what it is. This is the time of year for reflection, peace and goodwill.
On Labor Day weekend, we celebrate the workers (and yes damn it even the unions) that made this country great. We see the plight of millions of children with some form of muscular disease on the Jerry Lewis telethon and we open our hearts and give millions for research. On Halloween we turn the kids loose and for a night they get candy and other treats from neighbors, just for looking like a monster or cartoon character. And we do all this willingly! ( Nothing mandated by the government! ) In November, we remember the men and women who fought and even died for this country. For our freedoms and the right to worship as we please and live free. Without these brave souls we would still be living in tyranny. Thanksgiving comes next. This is where we reflect on our founding. When we put race and color aside and live together in peace like the pilgrims did even if just for one day. And of course eat our selves sick. ( I do anyway )
Now comes Christmas. For me this is the best time of year. Yes I love the lights, the Christmas trees, the TV specials and music. But for me and my family it is much more than that. This is the time of year that we
remember a manger in a far away land and the baby boy that was born there. Born in this manger 2000 years ago, with no pomp, no grand entrance, no Communist News Network (CNN) was Jesus, the Son of God. Our savior! He came to this Earth to preach the Good News and to eventually be put to death by zealots for spreading the word of God. He died for our sins and gave each and everyone of us a fresh start. Wouldn’t it be a shame if the zealots in Congress took away Christmas? Or our right to worship? But for this one time of year, where peace and goodwill abounds, let us all forget the petty bickerings and politics and remember the message Jesus brought us.
So for now on this Veterans Day until January 2nd 2010, except for the occasional Cartoon of the week or some MAJOR event, I will suspend these vitriolic writings and do my part to promote the spirit of goodwill. There will be music and articles and pictures relating to the season. So enjoy! Remember it’s MERRY CHRISTMAS! Now go out and spread some cheer! Peace on Earth. Goodwill towards men ( and Liberals ) And remember to thank a Vet, and the God of your understanding.
